Winchester

I took a little trip to Winchester this weekend to visit an old high school friend. At first, I was feeling a little reluctant but then I got into it and decided that it was definitely a good idea to go. Truthfully, it was probably the best thing I'd done all week. It cured my ill thoughts of the past week and now I find that if not back to normal, I'm most certainly in high spirits. I'm sure a few of my friends will attest to that since I've been called "moody" and "aggitative" for the better part of last week.

Winchester was a lovely place and altho extremely small, it was quaint. Apparently, King Arthur held court there for the round table still stands - or rather hangs. Yeah... I know. Strange huh? I was expecting to see a nice big round table in the middle of the hall but instead it was hung up against the front hall of the wall at least 10 feet above the ground. Like anyone would really think about taking it down. The silliness. I used to love arthurian legends. Then somewhere in the middle, it all faded and the interest left me. I guess we have to stop believing in magic someday huh?
